The theme of digital heritage is part of the broader debate about how new technologies affect traditional legal categories, with particular reference to succession law. This article is based on the study of the fate of personal data, local archives or cloud, online managed investments, blogs and social profiles after the death of their owner, because such themes are aspects that not only have an emotional but also economic value. In particular, attention has been paid to the study of the correct management of their data both on the net and offline in order to outline possible solutions to the theme of inhe- ritance of virtual goods and contents, called Digital assets. The central issue in the study of digital heritage is also the role played by contracts con- cluded between users and Internet service provider which, lacking legislation, represent the only sourse of discipline.
